About

I am a PhD student at the University of Göttingen, working in the Human-Centered Data Science (HuDS) group of Prof. Lisa Beinborn. My background is in mathematics and theoretical physics, which I currently apply to understand the interplay of language models with learnability and the typology of languages.

I am excited about languages, emergence in complex systems, and bifurcation theory. In particular, I do research on:

  • How does typology affect the learnability of languages?
  • What are the mechanisms of curriculum learning?
  • How does language emerge from the interaction of learners?

If you have cool ideas about a research project, get in contact!

In my free time, I enjoy swimming, reading fantasy and sci-fi, pen and paper, improvisational theatre, and making music.
